Rehabilitation for The Disabled

ELEPAP, which opened its doors in 1937, is the first charity, non profit organization, for the Rehabilitation (the diagnosis therapy, education and vocational training) of physically disabled children. We deal mainly with cerebral palsy cases or problems in speech and learning for infants and children up to 16 years old.

ELEPAP’s annual budget amounts to €7.500.000, of which 15% is covered by a government grant from the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity, 33% from the Parents' Social Security contributions and 6% from Legacies.

ELEPAP relies heavily on valuable donations of old and new friends, their participation in fund raising events which are organized for both children and adults and the generous company grants which cover the remaining balance of 46% of the requiered budget.

ELEPAP, commited to being transparent to all its stakeholders, has employed the services of audit firms over the years. In particular, PWC is currently responsible for Accounting Supervision and Payroll calculations since 2006 and EY is responsible for the audit of its financial statments since 2011. Prior to that (2007-2010), KPMG provided audit services.

Price Waterhouse Coopers Business Solutions S.A has provided ELEPAP with Accounting Supervision and Pay Roll calculations since 2006 and Ernst & Young S.A for Auditing since 2011, after the last 4 years (2007-2010) that KPMG provided also for us independent audit services.
